Hippity Hop

Hello Saturday!!
It is colder then a freezer here, but the  sun is out and shining brightly!!
Puts me in a mood to make a Spring card.
With Easter sneaking  upon us,
I decided to make a cute Easter card
using the fabulous digital

I embossed the background with a fun button embossing folder.
I added a few gingham "candi" dots here and there.

The pretty oval is a die my hubby got me for Christmas
by Nellie Snellen.

I added a gingham ribbon, daisy flower button
and a daisy trim from my stash.

Hi, Diane with you today!!
I am so excited as I received the new and beautiful
Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose stamp set
and Botanical Wings die Set
and I couldn't wait to start creating with it!.

There are so many different flowers you can create with these sets.
Just think of all the pretty colors, too..it is endless!!

I stamped my flowers with Versafine vintage sepia ink.
Using the Botanical Wings die set, I cut them out.
The die fits perfectly over the stamped flowers for cutting,
I love that feature!!

I then chose Versa Magic Dew Drop chalk inks to color
my flowers using Key Lime on the inner part of the flower
and Persimmon on the outer petals, blending as I applied.

and Paper Blossom Tool Kit,, I began forming my flowers.
I added Cloud Nine Velvet (microfine)glitter to the tips of the petals
then stacked the flowers, adhering them with Art Institute Clear Adhesive.

The background paper is from Joy Crafts Romance 6 x 6 collection.
to that I lightly adhered Leafy Sprig Border by PoppyStamps,
then adhering the flowers to that.

I could of easily added much more to this card,
but I decided to let the flowers and the gorgeous paper "speak for themselves"!!

You will be seeing me using more of this beautiful flower die and stamp set
in the weeks to come...I am quite loving it...a lot!!

I am entering my card in the
Power Poppy Spark challenge.
You are to "look to the sky"
for inspiration.
The other morning after a night of snowfall,
it was cold and crisp, and the orange sky was just peeping
out over the tops of the snow covered trees.
it was gorgeous, I didn't get a picture of it,
as it was just too dang cold to step outside that early!

Flutter Away

Good Morning!!
Today is the first day of our latest/newest challenge at "The Sisterhood"
Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen Paper Piecing and/or Piercing
for our theme!!

I gave this one a lot of thought and decided I would do "piercing".
You might have to look hard to see it, but it is the "butterfly motion"
that I also added tiny sequins to!!

This card is a mix of old and new.
I purchased this Wild Rose Butterfly die before Christmas
and this is the first chance I had to use it.
I actually thought it would be a little more "doily like",
but I think it is pretty!!
I cut it twice, once in black for the underneath and again,
using some very old "scrap bin" SU paper.
The background paper is SU Pale Plum, another "oldie"

I got in the scrap bags once again and pulled out three pieces for the bottom.
Added a black and white gingham bow with a few very old mulberry
flowers I stacked together.  In fact these are so old, one
fell apart in my hand while I was trying to put the brad in..lol...
Of course it also could be because of the cat, as she destroyed 2 die cuts
and totally undid a bow I had just finished!

Pop on over to the blog and see what the "Step-Sisters" and my Design Team
Sisters have to inspire you to join us.  We have new Step-Sisters this month.

Please note we will be looking for  a few new Design Team members.
You may submit your applications beginning March 1st.
Instructions will be on the blog at that time...Good Luck!!

I "LOVE" Tea

This is my post today at

at the online store....take a peek,
there are some hard to find things there!

Hello Classy friends, Diane here today
with my "I "LOVE" Tea" card for our challenge this week
"Tea Party"!

I just love the pretty Spring colors of this card!
It was a little bit of fussing around with it,
but I think well worth the effort!!

Let me tell you how I made it.
I started by adhering Double sided adhesive Scor-tape sheets
to Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock before I die cut.
I then placed my PoppyStamps Teapot Stack die on
and ran it through my Cuttlebug a couple of times using the
This gives you a nice sticky backing to adhere down to your card.
I embossed a panel using the  Darice Doily Lace embossing folder.
then adhering the teapot die cut  to that.
Then I decided to get real creative, and picked out a few scrap pieces
of paper, adhered them the same as I did the die cut, to the Scor-tape sheet
and ran each color through my machine.
I carefully "picked" each piece out and adhered it in it's place.
so easy using one of the picks from the set!

Lastly, I added some flowers.  If you saw one of my previous posts
Botanical Wings die set, you will remember I cut several "extra"
flowers, thinking they would come in handy later.
Well, they certainly did!

I used 5 of the smaller flowers and using the Paper Blossom Tool Kit
and Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat, I formed my flowers.
The flowers were colored with Susan's Garden PanPastels coloring kit,
and finished off with Lavender Pearls.
The tiny Leaf Clusters are from Impression Obsession.

I encourage you to join in the challenge with us this week,
we would love to have you!!

Little Spring Gift Boxes

Hello friends, I have a post today with my project I made for

I am so feeling Spring (feeling not seeing..lol)
that I have been having fun using gorgeous digital
products from Crafty Secrets.

There are many, many  wonderful digtal papers
that print beautifully!!  I decided to make a little box stack
using these a few of these papers.

The bigger box on the bottom was made using a digital paper from
this CD is packed full of wonderful vintage goodness.
You will me using several images from this Cd next month!

The smaller box was made with a digital paper from
digital Sewing Papers, this has a collection of 34 papers to choose from!

Both boxes were constructed using my
WeR Memory Keepers gift box punch board.

I added some newly purchased hemp twine and an adorable little gift tag

I was asked recently about what printer I use to print my digitals.
Nothing glamorous, let me tell you, it is and OLD Epson Stylus NX415.
I have another new printer sitting here in it's box never opened.
Two years ago, my hubby overheard (or so he thought) a phone conversation
I was having with my sister that I needed a new printer.
It wasn't that I needed one, I had just found one that prints 12 x 12 papers
and it was recommended for scrap booking.
So he bought me a new printer for Christmas that year.
I guess I should hook it up and at least have it as a back up..lol!

Mark your calenders, as
I will be back next week March 2nd with my
Crafty Secrets March linky party tutorial.
It's a day you won't want to miss.

Hello Snippet's

Happy Sunday!!
We actually have had 24 hours without snow..wow..that's been nice!
It also is another "free" day to post on my blog.
Awhile back I came across a very fun challenge called
You are to use "snippets" of things from your I would imagine
big stash of snippets of ribbons, papers,  you name it!

Well, this challenge is perfect for me, as I know I must be
the "Snippet Queen"..lol.
I have bags I have sorted "snippets" of things by color.
I decided I would create a card for this challenge from the "blue" bag.
I also snatched the "hello" sentiment from the "orange" snippets bag.
Does any of my ramblings make sense?  Probably not...lol!!

Here is the "blue" snippet" bag I pulled from.

ALL of the items you see used on my card are from the snippets bags.
Even the background piece, it had a little picket fence cut on it
that I just snipped off
(and put that piece in the snippet bag of course for later use).
Look at that silly little owl...heehee...I just love silly things!
I used a total of 7 things from the bag.
That makes me happy!
I am hoping to play in this challenge as much as time allows with my snippets.
It feels great to use some of these things up!

Hello Friend

Hello Saturday!!
I have a FREE day today, so was searching around for a few fun challenges.
And I found two really cute ones!!

This card came together so quickly for me and I love it!!
I saw this sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches
and went from there!

I also saw the challenge at House Mouse  was "friends",
so I combined the two challenges  and this is what I came up with.

It was fun that I actually got to stamp and color an older
House Mouse stamp called "Two Part Harmony"!

The paper is some that the pad was sitting out from another project.
The cute little music notes were cut on my Cricut Explore.

Feels Like Spring

Are you ready for some "Springtime"??
I sure am!!
However we still have lots of snow and extremely cold temps!
Good thing I can stay nice and cozy in my creative room
and at least create some Spring things!!

It's new challenge week over at Fussy and Fancy!!
Beth is our hostess and she has created this fun Tic Tac Toe chart
for us to use for inspiration!
Our sponsor for this challenge is  Live and Love Crafts!

I used charm~die~lace from the board.
For my creation I used the most gorgeous Graphic 45 paper
Time To Flourish as my starting point.
I think this has to be my most favorite paper of theirs yet!
Actually I am ordering another pad from HERE,
as I find myself hoarding it.
That way I can use one and hoard the other...LOL!!

I fussy cut the bird and the flower,
then popped them up, adding a bit of dimension.
I cut a few different leafy flourishes from DCWV Glitzy Pastel paper.
The bow is made from a gorgeous roll of ribbon I won at a challenge!

The flowers, pearls and ribbons are from Michaels.
The heart charm is actually sterling silver,
leftover from my jewelry making days.

Head on over to the Fussy and Fancy blog and take a gander at what
my teammates have to inspire you to join in!
These girls make gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous creations, you must see!!!

Dreamy Butterflies

today.....

Hi, Diane here with you today!
Have you ever had a card in mind,
then completely gone off in another direction?
Back in December, I did a small tutorial HERE on how to color on vellum.
If you saw my post on that, you will remember me mentioning
it is one of my favorite techniques for coloring.

That is how this card "sort of" came about.
I had intended to color the butterflies on vellum,
then cut them out and go from there, but,
after coloring them I laid them on a piece of white card stock
and they were so pretty I mounted them on a panel and used them "as is".

I first stamped Heartfelt Creations Butterfly Medley stamp set using
Versamark ink onto Heavyweight Vellum
then coating with White Fine Embossing Powder and heat setting.
Using Copics, I colored my butterflies.

Like I mentioned above, I could of cut them out using the matching
However, you will see me doing my originally intended card at a later date!

After the coloring was done, I simply mounted (as I mentioned above)
my panel on white card stock, added a few ribbons using Scor-tape 1/8".

A sentiment was stamped from Our Daily Bread Ornate Frame Sentiments.
A few Lavender Pearls were added to finish.

Thanks for visiting...

Spring Crown

Good Morning!
I have my weekly post for Crafty Secrets with a card I just love!
As much as I love Valentines and hearts, pink and red,
it is time for a change of pace!!

I decided to go with a pretty Spring card.
I know it is wishful thinking in Michigan in February,
but it makes me happy and have hope to someday see Spring again!

I printed the most gorgeous digital Crafty Secrets paper called
Wild Rose .  This paper along with another is only 99 cents!!
That paper was the basis for my entire card!
It was so pretty I didn't want to cover it up,
does that ever happen to you??

I also used  the cutest image from
Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps Birds & Blossoms.
It is such a  beautiful digital set, it was hard to choose.
But, choose I did, that little birdie with the crown said "pick me, pick me"..lol

I added a few "dod-dads" from my stash,
including my own homemade "wild rose"!
I also added some Stampendous "Frantage" to make a "nest"
for birdie to perch on.
A crown was added, some greenery, ball trim, bow.....

Make sure to stop by the Crafty Secrets blog
to see all kinds of inspiration there!
I also want to mention there is a terrific sale going on at Crafty Secrets to

Wishes For You

This is my post on the "Classy Cards 'n Such" blog today
for our challenge this week "Neutrals With A Frame"
and using the inspiration photo below.

Remember by using the code DIANE-10, you can save 10%

Happy Day all!!
Diane with you on the blog today showcasing my card for
our latest challenge "Neutrals With A Frame".

I pulled out one of my stencils from Dreamweavers called Floral Heart.
There are several ways to use a stencil, but today I chose a very
simple one, sponging on ink.
I used TH Distress inks Frayed Burlap and Old Paper,
sponging first the light, then the darker ink on top here and there.

Being I love the shabby/distressed look,
I distressed the edges of my card stock.

I cut Spellbinders D-Lites Cattails and adhered to the bottom left of the card.

I cut a small frame from Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight,
then stamped with a sentiment from the new and beautiful
Not only does this set have a gorgeous floral basket to stamp, but it has nine
wonderful smaller sentiments, that fit perfectly on the small frames!
The butterflies are from the same set as above,
I stamped them in a gold metallic ink and then fussy cut them out!

The finishing touch to my card were a few LaCreme pearls added
to the stenciled heart floral.

We would love for you to join in our challenge with us this week!!
