Awareness Campaign Joint Blog Hop

Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Die-Versions is debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies and Sparkle N Sprinkle is revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.
All stamp sets will be 20% off until Aug 3.  XXX is the stamp set featured with this month's Technique Video Kit.

The SNS sets are:
Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today with lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Find out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist with special recognition on the SNS Facebook page as well as the Creative Challenge Winner's post.  From time to time, we also have special prizes just for Featured Artists.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

Hopefully you came from Emmy's  blog.  Your next stop on the Awareness Campaign Blog Hop is Chris's blog.  If you get lost along the way or have a problem with a link, the complete list of Designers is located on both the Die-Versions Blog as well as the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog.  Happy Hopping!

Now for my creations!

By using the cancer calendar,
which lists each month with each awareness and the colors
of ribbon used for that particular cancer, I chose September.
From September, I chose 3 different cancer awareness colors to represent.
I have to say I was shocked that I have known someone having cancer
from each of these listed....
it certainly does make you aware!

September

My first card represents Hodgkins Lymphoma.
I used the Die-Versions Awareness Heart "Whispers" Die DV-484
which to the edges I added Brushable Glue and coated with Sugar Plum Glitter.
For the banners you see, I used Awareness Stamp Set 714.

My second Card represents Lymphoma Awareness.
I cut a large CLD heart and embossed it for the card base.
was cut and applied to sticky back paper,
which I then coated with Spirited Green Glitter.

I stamped the ribbon image from the Awareness Stamp Set 714
and fussy cut out.
I next die cut Die-Versions Believe DV-479, then
using Brushable Glue, coated the middle letter/ribbon with

The third card I did is for Leukemia Awareness.
I used a Sizzix embossing folder and built off that.
I applied sticky back paper under the lattice die,
which is Billie's Circle, then coated it with Cloud 9 Glitter.

The ribbon is from the Awareness set 714,
was stamped in orange, then fussy cut out.
The banner words are from the same set!

I encourage you to join in the hop with us....thank you!!
Here is where you want to go next:

Black and White Elegance

This is my post at the Dies R Us blog today!

Hello All, Happy Thursday to you!!!

I have been making so many summer and scenic cards,
that I decided to switch gears so to speak and create
a bit more of an elegant card!

The bottom glittery layer and the black layer on top
were both cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rose dies.
Now this was out of stock for a bit, but what I did was click on the tab
that says "Put me on the waiting list" and what this does
is email you when the product is back in stock.
Makes it so easy, and since this has been a very popular die,
is goes in and out quite frequently.

I stamped a beautiful sentiment from JustRite
with white embossing powder.  I love how pretty
it looks with this card!

The flowers were made in two sizes using
Cheery Lynn Designs Gardenia Small and
Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip.
I glittered each flower with
Sparkle N Sprinkle Twinkling Clouds glitter.

The butterflies are Wild Rose Little Butterfly
which I heavily coated with a crystal coarse glitter.

The ribbon bow was made with gorgeous ribbon
from the ribbon club at Really Reasonable Ribbon
and decorated with a TH button!

Check out out challenge we have going on at the

Trims and Edges

This is my post at the
for our challenge using the inspiration photo below.
You can always save 10% on your order by using the code
DIANE-10 any time!

Hi, Diane with you today.

Our challenge this week is Colors and Patterns.
I used my very favorite embossing folder from Darice called Quilt Blocks.
I embossed two different color card stocks,
cut each one into squares,
then adhered them down in the order of the design on the folder,
alternating the colors. I used Scor-Tape 1/4 to adhere them.

I cut 3 pieces of trim using Impression Obsession Border Duo 1 dies.

Next, I stamped Sweet & Sassy Stamps Parisian Postcard for the flowers,
which I colored with my Copics

A Spellbinders scalloped circle was used to cut the flowers out.
I used  one of the tools from the Cheery Lynn Designs Crafter Tools
to poke a hole around each scallop.
I finished up with a sentiment from the same Parisian Postcard
stamp set, added a ribbon from RRR and a button.

I invite you to join in the challenge with us,
you could win a fabulous prize!!

All "Dressed" Up

What a beautiful day it is here in southwest lower Michigan!
All sunny and pretty and "at this moment" a perfect temp!

I had a bit of fun with a sweet chipboard dress from
Crafty Secrets!
and guess what?
It is on clearance for only $1.50!!

I printed two different papers from the Crafty Secrets
"Birds and Blooms" digital papers collection.
Traced around the dress, cut them out
and adhered with modge podge.
I love, love this paper, and I used it for my last 4 projects
for Crafty Secrets...gorgeous I tell you, gorgeous!!

While the dress was  drying, my husband and I went to a pool party!
Some friends and co-worker of ours just put in a new
and gorgeous pool...gee, I want one...lol!
We didn't stay real long, but  long enough for
my modge podge to dry by the time we got home..LOL!

Once the dress was dry,
I sanded and inked all the edges

I added a bit of crochet trim from RRR around
the neckline, pocket and sleeves.

I fussy cut a little birdie on a branch
from Digital Birds &  Blossoms 4 page download,
then "perched" him on the pocket.
A bit of diamond Stickles was added to the blooms.

I added a tiny bow and an "awkward" gem.
I was drinking my morning coffee and dropped
a splash of it right where you see the gem...go figure!

I kept it rather simple as I did not want to cover up the beautiful scripture at the bottom of the dress
which says "Nature is the Art of God".

there is always, always great inspiration there.

Don't forget to visit the online Crafty Secrets store...
Lots of bargains there you won't want to miss!

Paris Chic

Happy Saturday!!
This is my post at the
Classy Cards 'n Such blog today!!
You can save 10% on your entire order by using my code
DIANE-10

Hi, Diane with you today.
I made what I am calling a Paris Chic card.

I had some left over scrap pieces of the beautiful
I used it for my background,
for the background of my sentiment and
for the butterflies!

I stamped the tower and butterflies using
Sweet 'n Sassy Parisian Postcard stamps.
All were then fussy cut out.
Once cut, I used a Wink of Stella glitter pen
to add some sparkle and shimmer.
I wish you could see this in person,
as it adds so much to the images!

I popped the tower and butterflies up

The sentiment is another favorite of mine from
Impression Obsession called Leap of Faith.

I finished with a pretty white sheer bow
which I added Memory Box Beloved Hearts

Butterfly Layers

This is my post on the
Dies R Us blog today!

Hi, Diane with you today!

Did you see all the NEW dies at the Dies R Us store?
Wowzers, there are so many and I want them all!!
I orderd some right away and have a couple to show you today!

I did a pretty much clean and simple card
by using 2 new Memory Box dies.

I started with Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance for my
base for the butterflies.

The next die is one of the new Memory Box dies
This die first cuts the butterfly "free"
and is attached only in the middle,
allowing it to "flutter".
Then you simply emboss it...
leaving "angel wings" next to the cut out part.
Make sense?....
When you purchase it, you will see right off what I mean.
I would suggest using removable tape to hold it place
while cutting and embossing.

Then I made a nice discovery.
The new Memory Box Stitched Vivienne Butterfly die
fits perfectly on top of the Angel Wing Butterfly!
(As soon s I can find the link, I will add it,
for some reason it will not show up...sorry)!

So I first cut the Angel Wing Butterfly in white,
then cut a second one in red, this time snipping it off,
then cutting the stitched butterfly in blue.

I slightly staggered them, as it was the look I wanted.

A few pearls and a sentiment were added to finish!

Come back tomorrow and every day Monday-Friday for more inspiration!
Visit the Dies R Us challenge blog for a chance to win !

See you next Thursday!!

Summer Heat at The Sisterhood of Crafters

Hi There,
It certainly has been busy around here, how about you??
And can you believe that in about 6 weeks
the kiddos will be heading back to school?
Summer sure does fly by!!

Our new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters
is "Summer Heat" and hosted by Vickie!

Well, you have been seeing my flip flop cards the last week
or so, and you might of read I mentioned
I am addicted to making them.
Well, this beauty is actually the first one I made before the other two.
You might say this one was what inspired me to do two more.

I once again used the wonderful flip flop digital file
Did you know you can purchase this cut file for a mere $1.50?
And it is so easy to make.!!

I used some paper I have had in my stash forever it seems.
I cut it down from it's 12 x 12 size to 8 1/2 x 11 to fit my printer
I didn't use the Explore for this one, just cut it by hand...easy!!

I stitched around my flip flop with a multi color thread.
The little sequin flowers are from Paper Sweeties and called Tuti Fruiti.
The ribbon is from the ribbon club I belong to at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I added a little tag punched with a tiny SU tag punch,
the "hello" is also from SU.
To finish I adhered a flower
with a "snippet" from a silk flower I had been saving!

using the inspiration photo below.
You can use my code DIANE-10 any time
to save 10% off your order.

Hi, Diane with you today.
This week our challenge theme is A Day At The Beach.
Isn't that a pretty beach scene?
I wish I were there right now!

I started my card with an
Impression Obsession Cracked Paint Cover A Card stamp
stamped with Unicorn ink for the background.

The wreath was made with Impression Obsession Twig Wreath,
which I cut twice and layered.
The cute little shells, starfish, and sand dollar are
Impression Obsession Mini Shell Set.

to form both the starfish and the sand dollars,
it just gives them both a nice, natural look.

The sentiment is one I have had from Technique Tuesday.

The bird is Impression Obsession Shore Birds.

Thank you for visiting with me today...

Summer Picnic at The Shabby Tea Room

Hi there, it's time for a new challenge at
This week our theme is "Summer Picnic"
using the inspiration photo below.

Our sponsor is Dies R Us.

I made this card almost totally from my scrap bin.
It seems I have an abundance of "pink" scraps.

cutting it first on sticky back paper that I had adhered to my card stock.
Then, I did the same for each teapot, and placing each individual piece in.
kind of like a puzzle.
It was rather picky doing it this way as each piece is so small..
but the outcome is worth it I think!

I think it is the cutest little thing!

The sentiment is an Anna Griffin.
The little lady bug is Die-Versions Wee Petites Buggy.

The ribbon is labeled Christmas...hmmmm...
it works well here I think.

you just have to have this folder..it is downright GORGEOUS!!

Now why don't you pop on over to The Shabby Tea Room
and see what the other "shabby" girls
have to inspire you!
We have some new members on our DT and they are fabulous,
as well as us "oldies"....wait did I just call us OLD...lol!!!

Baby Boy Funny Card

Hi there,
I have a cute and somewhat funny card to share with you today
using products from Crafty Secrets.

I printed two different papers using Birds & Blooms digital papers collection.
Oh my, I love, love the beautiful softness of these papers...dreamy!
I used the dots for the background and
the stripes for the background star.

The funny (it is so cute and just makes me laugh every time I see it)
image is from the Baby Boy digital set
as well is the "Baby Boy" banner!

A pretty blue satin bow was added
with a real baby diaper pin that I pinned through it.
The pin was laying on my desk,
not sure why OR where it came from...LOL!!

I had so much fun making this and it was fun to
get away form the "girlie" I normally do!

there is always fun things going on there,
let alone a ton of inspiration!

Don't forget to visit the Crafty Secrets store,
there is a HUGE sale going on!!

I am out of town until Monday night...see you soon!!
