And here is my card for today's reveal!

I loved, loved the adorable Easter Chicky when I saw it.
I love it so much that I have a 'second' card
later in the  month to share with you!

I made a cute, cute onsie baby card.
I remember when these cards first came out
about 8 years ago or so and decided it was time to bring one back..lol!

There are plenty of tutorials out there,
each one a little bit different.
I made mine using a very basic pattern
cutting a piece of card stock 11 1/2 x 4 1/4, then folding in half.
I used a 1 3/8" punch for the top, using about half of it,
the same punch for the bottom,
this time using about 3/4" of it and then trimming the bottom straight.
The arms/sides I measured in about 1" from the sides and 1 1/4"
down from the top, then cutting straight in.
Then just measure down from the underarm diagonally to the bottom
and trim off,
You can use that piece to trace the other side so both sides are even.
(TIP:  Once you get a perfect onsie base made,
just keep it for a pattern and make another to use)

To dress up my onsie, I punched 6 dots with a 3/4" punch
from scraps of Super Adhesive Sheets.
These sheets have adhesive on both sides,
I simply placed them where I wanted them,
then peeled off the paper and added Orange Crush glitter.

The chick was stamped, colored with Copics,
then fussy cut out.
I did stamp the egg shell again from a heavier card stock
and coated it with Brushable Glue, then Cloud Nine glitter.
It gave it a bit more dimension.

was added just to the top of the chicky's head.

I dipped 3 brads in Brushable Glue, then Orange Crush glitter for the bottom 'snaps".

Once completely done, I went around and randomly added dots of
Nuvo Crystal Glitter Drops Sherbert Shimmer
which seemed to be the perfect match for the Orange Crush glitter.
I let this dry overnight, though it dries in a few hours normally.

Lace was added to the sleeves and a bow at the top.

Makes sure and visit ALL the designers blog and leave a comment
to have a chance to win the ENTIRE release.

Next on the hop should be our very talented

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Here we are, at the very end of 2016
I don't know about you but I am rather looking forward
to putting 2016 behind me and hope for a better 2017.

2016 was a rough year here,
granted it had it's good things,
but for me it had some not so good,
the death of my beloved dog Nellie,
my Mom being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer the same week Nellie passed,
the accident with the ATV my 15 year old grandson was involved in,
and just on the 28th of this month my credit card being compromised for a large amount of money.
Yep, I am ready to see the backside of 2016 for sure.

On a more pleasant note,
I was able to meet new 'friends' on new design teams
and working with a wonderful group of  women for the past year,
that has meant a lot to me...you guys are the BEST!!

I also might have a 'little' surprise to show you in 2017,
and I have a new great grandbaby on the way, due June 28th
(yes, I am way too young for that...hahahahah)!!

Yes I am looking very much forward to a 'new' year.
Resolutions?
Not really as I have had the same ones for the past 30 years....
lose weight, eat healthier, exercise, get organized,
well NONE of that has happened  yet so no resolutions for me
except for maybe in my DT obligations to get more organized and to work ahead
more then I am now.

I wish you all the BEST year ahead ever,
to be safe, healthy and prosper in all your wishes and dreams!

Just another quick note,
make sure and come back here at 9pm
to see the blog hop from the DT at
Sparkle N Sprinkle
as just by leaving a comment on ALL
the DT blogs (8 including mine)
you could win the ENTIRE release
and it is a wonderful one as always!!

Okay so moving on.....
Here are some of my favorites from 2106.....
a 'recap' of sorts!

Pretty Pink Happy Birthday

Well, here we are just a few days left before the New Year
and we are under a winter weather advisory once again....
typical in Michigan but it doesn't mean I have to like it..!!

I have another card to share today
that was created for the Tutti Designs store.

For this one I used the Heart Tree die,
but flipped it and added the bow and flower.

A panel was embossed with flowers, adding pearls to the centers
and a sentiment was stamped.

These dies make a quick card, but yet look so elegant!

Hope

Today I have another card I created for the
this time using the beautiful
Lily of the Valley panel die.

I used a piece of designer paper for the background,
cut the die from white card stock,
then backed it with a piece of white semi clear vellum.

I stamped a beautiful sentiment and used an oval die
for it and the back piece.

A couple of beautiful vellum butterflies were die cut as well.
Pretty simple card but beautiful as well.

Lily of The Valley and Vellum

I have certainly been out of touch lately with all of you
and
out of touch with all my designing
but am hoping to jump right back in again!

I had a wonderful, though relatively quiet Christmas,
how about you?

I cooked a big dinner for my husband and my oldest son
that would of been spending Christmas alone.

I am also in the process of taking my Mom to radiation
and it is about 100 miles for me and takes up most of my
day by the time I drive to get her and
then to radiation as they don't have it close by
where she lives (sort of..lol)..a long story.

Any who to get me going to I decided to post
one of the many cards I made for the Tutti Designs store.

I love, love this card, so delicate
with the beautiful Lily of the Valley Frame.

I printed out a background of beautiful lily of the valley,
then cut out a piece of vellum to cover
for a soft look.
The die cut was placed on top of that.
I colored the leaves with my Copics, then added a pretty green bow.

Rustic Flowers

It's almost time for Christmas
and here I am thinking about flowers instead..lol!

But how can I not with all my new beautiful
stamp sets that were released for  December
at Sparkle N Sprinkle!

The set I am using today is

I did a very easy and simple card using once again

I die cut a Spellbinders Devine Eleoquence from black card stock.

I first coated the stamp with
I quickly stamped it on my die cut, then let it sit a few minutes to get tacky.
(you will want to use this time to quickly wash all the glue off your stamp).

Once the image was tacky
(I did take a photo, but it didn't show up well)
You might see a mix of color in there,
and that is from a bit of leftover mixed flakes from another project
that I had in a cool whip container, just waiting to be used.

I used a Mini Blender Brush to 'brush off' the excess flakes.

Once I was happy with the look, I adhered it to a piece of
Super Adhesive Sheet that had previously been
adhered to a piece of card stock.
The piece was then coated with Sunset glitter,
a perfect blend to match the gilding flakes.

I finished off with a pretty bow!

Silver & Gold Challenge at Double D

Our last challenge for the year 2016 at Double D
is Silver & Gold
being hosted by Team Darlene
and using the mood board below for inspiration.

It was rather fun to get out of the Christmas mode
and into something a bit different.
I had 'heart-ed' a dream catcher die
and looked at many beautiful ones until I settled on this one from
Spellbinders.
I loved the size and all the pretty details in the embossing it had.

It's a pretty clean and simple card using just the gold and silver for details.

I stamped a splatter background in silver
as well as the sentiment (which I have a 'booboo' ..my 'e' isn't quite 'there')....
it happens and I was not redoing as I had stamped the sentiment 4 times
and the results were the same, so I am thinking my 'e' is not quite perfect!

I simply added a silver cord bow, a few gold sequins to finish.
I will probably use this for one of the 'older' grandkids birthdays.

Now, pop on over and check out our fabulous inspirations from the
designs teams.... you will LOVE them!

Also wanted to mention that we have all new
fantastic mood boards created and ready to go
for 2017 that you will love....
make sure and come and check them out 'next year'!!

Build A Flower

This is my live post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today!

Diane with you today to 'brighten' up your days with a pretty
and colorful bouquet using the new stamp set

If you saw my last post HERE then you might remember me
saying I would be using my 'Nuance' color sheets for my next post,
which is what I did.
The colors of Nuance used were:
(By the way, there are 3 NEW colors of Nuance in the store,
you might want to take a peek)!

I stamped several flowers on the scrap pieces I had left from
my bunny card.

Then, carefully cut each one out.
(I ended up not using the yellow flower).

Once the flowers were cut, I used my
flower making tools (mat and stylus) to shape the petals

I cut both a Spellbinders Basic Circle (which I embossed with a decor dots EB folder),
and a Circle Delight die, which I placed under the basic circle...pretty isn't it?
I die cut a Tutti Designs Stitched Heart, which I then embossed the sentiment
with Coffee (one of my favorites) embossing powder.
The leaves were stamped, colored with Copics, then coated with
I finished the flowers by adding Black Ice glitter to each center and
Silver Moondust to the blue, Purple Rain to the purple
and Sherbert Shimmer to the pink flowers.

For the finishing touch,
a pretty pink bow was added.
Thank you for visiting with me today!
